Slate™ Platform

All assets used in the testing of advanced handsets and other devices - including test results, critical media content, and crucial configuration information, may be shared within the Slate™ environment with a high degree of control and confidence.

SkyLink’s close relationship with mobile carriers allows us to deliver the Slate™ Global Directory Service (GDS). This service allows mobile carriers to make their existing libraries of certified test suites available to device manufacturers for their internal Quality Assurance programs and pre-certification efforts. This minimizes the amount of time handsets spend in the carrier certification labs.




Carrier test suites are built by the carrier or third party test house and are a direct representation of the handset specification – with no ambiguity. Test suites are provided to handset manufacturers subscribing to the Global Directory Service – a rights-based listing of available tests for specific functional areas.

With the Global Directory Service subscription, manufacturers can effectively mirror the carrier test environment and procedures inside their own facilities. This gives participating manufacturers and developers a much higher likelihood of passing the certification process quickly and easily, with a minimum of surprises while reducing the time to market and preventing costly device recalls.
